William “Bill” Behee
William “Bill” Behee, age 71 of Bacliff, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1934 in Jackson County, Missouri to James Edmond and Vivian Poole Behee. Bill worked as a machinist and retired from Mechanical Repair and Engineering in LaPorte, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Nellie Ryan, and his brother: Franklin Behee.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Betty Behee, his daughter: Antonette Estle Behee Lerch; his two sons: William Raymond Behee and David Wayne Behee; two sisters: MaryLou Woods and Pauline Linda Durben; four brothers: James Behee, Richard Behee, Walter Behee, and Melvin Behee; four grandchildren: Christopher Behee, Sylis Behee, Coral Behee, and Cheryle Lerch; his bonus grandchildren: Kimberly, Ashley, and Caitlin Lawley; and numerous other family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a service starting at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2005 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. –>

Jasper County Coroner Jerry Neil has ruled the death of a Carthage man as a suicide. Levi M. Hagerman, 25, Carthage was found at 320 N. McGregor Ave. at 3:10 p.m. Monday with a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. It is believed that Hagerman died either late Sunday night or early Monday morning.”
